'56 m100

Hi, all. I have a '56 merc m100 and am thinling about changing the front brakes to disc. I have 2 questions on that. First, I would like to keep things as original as possible. Would this devalue the truck, and since I have never converted drum to disc, I might need som advice on procedure.
