Picked up a long block from a 1974 Nova SS. Well heads were shot so decided to go with a set of 305 416s I've had lying around:spank:. This is going into a street / light strip 1992 camaro. I'm wanting about 375hp / 400 tq, decent street manners and just reliability.

Looking at running the following in the motor.
10.4:1 Static Compression (8.3:1 Dynamic)

Comp cams thumpr cam ( 283-THR7)
--- INT/EXH
--- 227/241 @ .050
--- 283/303 total duration
--- 513/498 lift
--- 107 LSA
--- 1900-5600 rpm range

Well worked over set of 416 (305 heads)
---58cc Combustion chamber
---Upgraded to 1.94/1.6 Stainless valves
---Heavy porting (Doing this at home, waiting to pick them up from the shop to port, then they'll go back for bench testing)

1980 Corvette Intake manifold
---EGR Filled and sealed, gasket matched, runners opened up.
and a 750 quadrajet.

Long tube headers w 1 5/8 primaries.

running a rebuilt 700r4 w/ shift kit and 2200-2600 stall. Rear end is still in the works, currently sitting with a 10bolt 7.625 w/ 2.41 gears :smash:

I've run the engine through desktop dyno and come up with the following: (i will not rev to 7000) I used mildly ported flow numbers from a 416 head w/ 1.84/1.5 valves so there might be a little more on the table with my valve upgrades.

hp tq rpm
138 363 2000
172 362 2500
205 359 3000
249 373 3500
293 385 4000
337 393 4500
374 393 5000
379 362 5500
362 316 6000
355 286 6500
331 248 7000

Anyone with any thoughts or advice about this feel free to toss it in. Always welcome to others opinions.
