So i just got my high torque geared starter to crank over the v8 i just dropped in my s10, didnt think the compression was that high, but the stock starter couldn't crank it.
i installed the new starter and tried to test it with a battery and jumper cables and it still would barely crank it a turn and it would just stop, i had the engine running before with a similar starter, and it is fully broken in
Could using jumper cables have something to do with this? due to the small contact point where i touch it to the contacts on the starter and it not being able to flow enough current to the starter? Battery was charged just before i tried this
