I know...this is the last thing you guys want to talk about...a SBC particularly a 350 but...
I have a 1979 350 that came out of a 4WD pickup. I believe the stock HP on that engine was around 165-175? The engine has been rebuilt but as I understand, it was bored to a 355 and relatively stock items were put back in. A mechanic friend said it sounds like it might have an RV cam in it though. I am looking to bump the HP on it some. I would really like to get into the 300's which would keep it very streetable and not suck to much gas as I drive it fair distances at times. I don't have the casting number with me right now but believe it is a 4 bolt main block. My question is...what parts and in what order would add to this engine say over the next year?
