Aftermarket Alarm Removal

After two years of procrastination, I decided it was time to replace the leaky heater core in my '93 Mustang LX, 5.0. With everything associated with the dash torn all to ____, I figured it would also be a good time to remove my aftermarket anti-theft alarm. I bought the car in January, 1994, and the alarm (an Avistar MkII by Automobile Security Technologies, Inc.) had already been installed by the original owner.

The car was stolen in April of that year, and the alarm was apparently bypassed by the thieves with no trouble at all; consequently, I have little or no faith in the alarm. The only thing that saved the car was a hidden fuel pump cutoff switch that I'd installed soon after I bought the car. The effing thieves couldn't start the car and left it in the middle of the street.

Anyway, I consider the alarm to be useless, and the wiring is a mess (see photos). I've searched on the internet and have not found anything specific on the procedures for removing an aftermarket alarm. I searched the forums on this site and have not been able to find anything.

Any advice?
